My interests lie at the intersection of economic sociology, family and gender studies, and stratification. My research aims to challenge the way stratification research studies the intergenerational reproduction of social advantage occurring through financial transfers to children, such as inheritance, gifts, and other parental investments. I explore how gender performance, and its intersection with relational and emotional work among relatives, shapes the circulation of wealth within families and society.
