I'm a first year ('09) PhD student with a professional background in ethnographic field methods. My current research focuses on two areas:
1) the current expansion of urban regions in Mainland China and the associated in-migration from rural areas.
2) the historical and current relationships between transportation and urbanization patterns in the United States.
